Mahalo
Mike,
I happen to be a BIG fan of the Bonzer, and the Campbell Brothers.
I know Duncan, but I have yet to meet Malcolm. I missed my chance
when they had the grand opening of Bonzer Front last Nov., I
had just been over in Haleiwa the week before, and got to see
the new shop (Bonzer Front), but I didn't have the extra kala
to fly back over. I kick myself in the ass now because they
threw a raging party!...and i could've met Russ Short, ...I
have one of his old Bonzers.
I've been collecting boards for almost 20 years now, got 252
to date, was planning on putting together a vintage surfboard
museum here for Kona, but I seriously lack the funds to put
anything like that together anytime soon. I'm having to part
with some of my cherriest boards, selling them to other collectors,
just to pay bills and stay afloat. I won't sell any of my Bonzers
though, can't do it...! Duncan said I have the 1st ever Bonzer
gun, said it was the 5th Bonzer they made. I also have one that
was Cliff Collinge's personal Bonzer, he was Duncan's best friend,
who most unfortunately died from cancer back in ' 93. I've started
to restore the board and bring it back to health. Somebody did
some bad patchwork on it already, so I sanded all that off,
and I'm starting to restore it properly.
Anyway, got to get back to boardwork...but here's a couple pics
of my Bonzers, and a couple that I built recently here in Kona.
If you ever get over to the Big Island...stop by and check out
some boards and have a cold beer with me in my tiki bar! ...coldest
beers in Kona!
Aloha nui,
Tim Orr

Hey Mike,
I started pulling out some of my nicer boards (not beaters) and
photographing them, for documentation, but also so I could sell
some of them. Bonzers aren't for sale, except for the ones I built,
but here's some sweet pintails I'm offering up to the best offers...
Do you know anyone who might be interested in these guys? I made
the 7' retro red Lightning Bolt on the end, so it's not vintage,
but it would make a great rider for someone. I hate to part with
any of my oldies, but unfortunately we really need the $$ right
now for bills, and you can barely walk through the my shop right
now with soo many boards stacking up...between oldies, new customs,
and ding repair work!Mahalo for checking 'em out and passing on
da stoke!
Aloha nui,
